Sequence

In short The order of the amino acids that make up a peptide, written from the N-terminus to the C-terminus.

Amino acids are written with three-letter codes (Gly, Glu, Pro) or one-letter codes (G, E, P). Modifications such as an amidated end (-NH2) or an acetylated start (Ac-) are part of the sequence.
